Incentive Payment Overview

How and when are incentive payments for the Medicare and Medicaid programs handled?

Eligible professionals (EPs) are able to participate in the EHR Incentive Program provided they are already a participant in Medicare fee for service (FFS), Medicare Advantage (MA) or Medicaid.1 The incentive payment for Medicare EPs is summarized in the table below and addresses the first calendar year (CY) for which EPs receive an incentive payment.
